Ordinary words for 'meeting' that double as proper names of two different numbered series. The gatherings of the Foro de São Paulo are counted as Encontros/Encuentros — 27 between São Paulo 1990 and 2024, e.g. the XVIII Encuentro (Caracas, 2012). The Grupo de Puebla counts its own Encuentros from the founding Encuentro Latinoamericano ProgresivaMente (Puebla, Mexico, July 2019) — ten by mid-2024. A bare 'X Encontro' or 'Encuentro' citation is therefore ambiguous between two organizations founded 29 years apart; the chronologies always name the series.[1] [2] [3]
